GSM is the classic red blend of France's southern Rhône. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre (also called Mataro), now thoroughly at home in McLaren Vale. Suāvis is Latin for delightful, which is the mood we were after. Ours is medium-weight and supple, plush red fruit balanced by an earthy, dusty thread and fine-grained tannins from aged French oak. Look for plum and boysenberry, dark cherry and dried herbs, with a hint of black pepper, tobacco and clove.
Suāvis is Latin for delightful, and that says it all: generous but never heavy. A wine for shared tables and slow evenings, confident enough to carry the meal without getting in the way.
